Shani Bacy, LCSW
Welcome!
I’m a person-centered clinical therapist, and I’m truly passionate about walking alongside you as you move toward self-empowerment and meaningful healing. Whether you’re navigating trauma, self-esteem challenges, anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship concerns, I’m here to offer personalized, culturally responsive care that meets you exactly where you are.
I have extensive experience supporting people impacted by complex trauma, sexual abuse, human trafficking, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, and I’m committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. I believe deeply that you already carry the capacity to grow, to heal, and to reach the personal and mental health goals that matter most to you—and I’m here to help you tap into that strength.
Education
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Houston and provide trauma-informed, person-centered care for individual adults and adolescents. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem challenges, domestic violence, women’s issues, and the impact of trauma, including recovery from sexual abuse and complex experiences. My goal is to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal. Through ongoing training and a deeply compassionate approach, I’m here to help you build resilience, find clarity, and move toward the life you envision.
My counseling focus
My clinical focus is on guiding adults and adolescents through the trauma process while helping them develop effective coping skills. I provide a safe, supportive space where you can process difficult experiences, build resilience, and gain the tools to navigate life with greater clarity and confidence.
My Approach
I draw on a rich, integrative approach to therapy that centers on trauma-informed, attachment-based, and person-centered frameworks. In our work together, I might use evidence-based modalities like EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help you process past wounds, while also integrating motivational interviewing and strength-based techniques to help you reconnect with your own resilience. Whether you’re healing from complex trauma or navigating relationship and identity challenges, my goal is to support you in building self-awareness, cultivating emotional trust, and moving toward lasting growth.
