Trauma Focused Therapists in Houston, TX

““When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” — Viktor E. Frankl

I became a social worker and therapist because I believe in the inherent worth and strength of every person. Life can be challenging, but I know you already have what it takes to navigate those obstacles. My role isn’t to lead or push but to walk alongside you—offering support, perspective, and a space where you feel seen and heard. Together, we’ll uncover and build on the strengths you already possess to create meaningful change.

I offer therapy in both English and Spanish. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston and a Master of Social Work from Columbia University in New York City. I am currently working under the professional supervision of Dayna Gurley, LCSW-S, CCTS, ACM, to continue developing my skills and provide you with the best care.

What I Can Help With

  • Couple’s counseling

  • Depression and Anxiety

  • Relational Abuse

  • Life Transitions

  • Trauma

  • Adjustment Disorder

How I Work

I use a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Emotive Therapy, to meet your needs in the most effective way. My work is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and focused on making sure you feel heard, respected, and comfortable throughout the process.

I provide marriage counseling inspired by the research of John and Julie Gottman, integrating evidence-based insights from Esther Perel on intimacy, trust, and relational dynamics. These approaches help couples strengthen connection, improve communication, and work through conflict in a constructive way. Alongside this, I also serve as a Divorce Coach, supporting individuals who may be deciding whether to stay in a relationship, are actively navigating a separation, or are rebuilding their lives afterward. Divorce and relational shifts are major life changes, and my role is to help you approach them with clarity, resilience, and confidence.

My goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free space where you can openly share your thoughts and work through challenges. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or a major life transition, I’m here to support you with understanding and practical strategies.

If you’re ready to take the next step toward change, I’m here to help.
