Lauren Jackson (Graduate Level Intern)
Field Supervisor: Adrianna Linares LCSW-S
Introduction
Hello, I am Lauren Jackson. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and build the tools needed to navigate life’s challenges. I am committed to helping you foster self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth, and I will feel honored to walk alongside you on your path toward healing and positive change.
As a married mother of four, I understand the challenges of maintaining balance and managing life’s many demands. These experiences have strengthened my compassion for others and my belief in the importance of emotional well-being.
I am currently a counseling graduate student under supervision. Through my work in the medical field, I discovered that I have a natural ability to hold space for others and to help them feel genuinely heard and supported.
You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Together we can turn your obstacles into opportunities for growth and lasting change.
Education:
I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology and bring over twenty five years of experience working in the medical field, where I developed a deep appreciation for the power of empathy and connection.
My Counseling Focus:
Anxiety & Stress Management
Depression & Emotional Wellness
Self-Esteem & Confidence Building
Parenting & Family Dynamics
My Approach:
My approach to counseling is integrative and centered around each client’s unique needs and goals. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that may be keeping them stuck. I incorporate elements of Person-Centered Therapy to create a safe, empathetic environment which allows clients to feel truly heard and accepted as they explore their experiences. I also use strategies from Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify strengths, set achievable goals, and build confidence through small yet meaningful changes.
